We have 4 opportunities to serve our community this year.
- Warmth and Comfort for the Elderly (WCFE)
Items such as:
- Wheel chair or lap quilts (36”-39” wide and 42”long)
- Quilted hugs
- Dignity bibs/scarves
- Walker or wheelchair bags
- Children’s quilts for the Pickens County Sheriff’s Department (Infant to Teen size)
- Children’s quilts for the Pickens, SC police department
- Preemie blankets for still born babies (18” x 18” – 2 layers, no batting required)
Precut batting is available at the meetings. They are 45” x 45”. Contact Kay McKinney if you need a different size of batting.
Warmth and Comfort of the Elderly in Upstate South Carolina is a SC registered tax-exempt non-profit charity organization in the heart of the upstate. They give articles of warmth and comfort to the elderly in nursing homes, hospice groups and to shut ins.

A Quilt of Valor® (QOV) is a quality, handmade quilt that is machine or hand quilted. It is awarded to a Service Member or Veteran who has been touched by war.
There is fabric is available for QOV if you need some. Tops can be completed and given to Cheryl or Beth and they will get the quilt put together and quilted.
