|Things you need to bring||Things that will be provided|
We will be demonstrating how to make the placemats with a quilt as you go method. If you plan to do this:
- Bring strips of coordinating fabrics cut 1 ½ to 3 inches. Varying widths make a more interesting placemat. The length should be 15 inches or 30 inches if you want to make a set of matching placemats. You will need enough strips to make your placemats 18 inches wide (remember you will lose your ¼ seam allowance).
- You will also need a backing fabric cut 15 x 20 inches. We realize these sizes are bigger than a normal place mat but it gives you an allowance to trim it to the correct size (18 x 13).
You should be able to make at least 3 place mats if you stay all day. We will finish these with a normal quilt binding.
*Please park in the parking lot on the back by the playground. Enter by the door where the two buildings meet. We will have signs helping with directions.
